From
time to time, this page features a camera from the Life Saving
Museum located on the Virginia Beach boardwalk. This historic

alike.

Located
at 24th and Atlantic Avenue, on the boardwalk, the historic
site opens its doors for tourists and residents to show patrons
how rescues were performed when ships got too close to shore
in a storm.
The
Old Coast Guard Station, museum and gift shop are housed in
a former Coast Guard/Service Station, the only existing station
in Virginia. In the exhibits you will find the tales of shipwrecks
and rescues. The role of the Coast Guard from the Battle of
the Atlantic in World War II to the present day is chronicled.
A unique gift shop is in the oceanfront museum.
