| On
the morning of September 11, 2001, the United States of
America was hijacked- our American built planes were used
as weapons of mass-destruction, flown by pilots we taught
in the United States. For the first time in our history,
American airspace was a no flyzone. Three of our country's
greatest landmarks were either damaged or destroyed. More
Americans lost their life that one day than any other single
day in the history of our country, peace times and times
of war included. Bloodier than Pearl Harbor. Worse than
D-day. More horrific than any Civil War battle, and those
who lost their lives were civilians and military people
alike. |

Beach firefighters trained their New York counterparts on how
to access a destroyed building. Americans from all over the
country reported to bases around the Hampton Roads area to respond
to our threat of inland terrorism.
